Caren Grantz Keljik, Founder

Caren Grantz Keljik, Founder

Caren Grantz Keljik has studied ballet, jazz, and modern dance, and she happily dances Contra, square, disco, and belly dancing. But her real passion is International Folk Dance.


In 2020 Caren founded the Virtual Folk Dance Village with two weekly dance sessions for over three years. She teaches at Minneapolis' Tapestry Folkdance Center, and for five years she led dance at the week-long Northland Recreation Lab retreats, and at Camp Unistar sessions. 


Caren Granz Keljik has also performed with the Living Wisdom Dancers and the Armenian Dance Ensemble of Minnesota,  And Caren has  lead dance for weddings, special occasions, and a rich variety of community occasions.

 Theresa first caught the folkdance bug at Folklore Village in Wisconsin and started dancing regularly in college.  In addition to International Folkdance, she enjoys contra, swing, and English Country.


Theresa also co-taught a beginner folk dance class at Tapestry Folkdance Center in Minneap0lis for ten years and has performed with the Armenian Dance Ensemble. 

Nancy Maczka

Nancy Maczka

As a keyboard and violin musician, Nancy has also been a long time international folkdance enthusiast participating in the the Racine and Madison (WI) communities.  


She has more recently become intentional about expanding her repertoire and learning the fine art of group dance instruction. Many nights she brings to the group some of the old standards such as Ma Navu, De Secerat, Nje Bahce O Me Portokalle, Hine Ma Tov, and  Jambolska Racenica.
